Many people believe
that when you turn off your analyser, your sensor turns of as
well....wrong !!
A sensor operates on
a continuous chemical reaction. As long as there is O2 to consume,
the sensor has an output.
The obvious way to
slow you sensor down and extend it's lifetime is to limit the
amount of O2 reaching the sensing surface...so...cap it !!!
This shuts off the
O2 effectively putting the sensor to "sleep"
Great for extended
storage of sensors.
